Ella is a 23-year-old Counsellor qualified in Equine Assisted Therapy. She has always had a passion for animals, particularly horses. Initially, Ella was pursuing a career as a Veterinarian until her first horse, "Princess," demonstrated the deep emotional intelligence horses possess. Inspired by her mare, Ella began studying Counselling and Equine Assisted Therapy at Equine Assisted Therapy Australia and graduated in January 2025. Ella enjoys using art, nature and music in her sessions and draws upon Gestalt Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Therapy, mindful practices and trauma-informed care. Ella is a registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and has a Diploma in Counselling and a Certificate in Equine Assisted Therapy.

Cookie is a 16-year-old miniature Shetland pony. Some aspects of Cookie's past are unknown, but it is known that in her early years, she was neglected and unwanted. After a year of rehabilitation and building Cookie's trust, she has learnt that people aren't so bad after all. Cookie loves treats, is a wilderness explorer and like a typical pony, can be a bit cheeky!

Kunama is a 9-year-old Appaloosa. This sweet girl was sadly rescued from a truck on its way to a slaughterhouse. She had previously been neglected and abused, and it has taken her some time to learn to trust people again. Kunama loves neck scratches and has a very sensitive soul. A fun fact: Kunama Namadji means Snowy Mountains in the Ngarigu language, which is where the inspiration for Kunama's name comes from.

Waru is a 6-year-old Thoroughbred. He started his life as a racehorse and raced once before retiring. This big, gentle giant is a super inquisitive fella who loves to sniff and lick everything! Waru loves to share his food with the rest of the herd and is the newest member of the Meet Me In The Meadow family. A fun fact: Waru means fire in the Martu language.

River is a 26-year-old quarter horse. He is a been there done that kind of guy! He is the newest member to the Meet Me In The Meadow family and he is the sweetest and most gentle! River loves scratches and pats and is now living happily in semi-retirement.
